Pirate's Lament

  A kinetic sculpture in defense of those of us who live by the Jolly Roger but are destined for that pendulous fate that awaits on the docks.

  In the form of a Skull and Crossbones, it is a working ship's clock which displays the time as well as the current watch. Every minute a motor whirrs and with a gnashing of teeth, slowly moves the minute hand ahead, uh, one minute. On the half hour another motor turns on and causes the bell to count out ships bell time.  Every four hours the watch wheel advances to the next watch.

  The sculpture is entirely hand-welded by the artist and is limited to fifty pieces.
