The Fish incorporates six flea characters in it's design; one pilot flea turns the steering wheel, one and a half cranking fleas drive the propeller one flea keeps the fish motivated by dangling a fishing pole in front (not shown), one flea turns the periscope,  and the chef flea sitting on the oscillating tail waiting for the fish du jour to swim by.

   It is made of gas-welded sheet steel and soft copper-coated steel welding rod.  Its finish is one of flame oxidized steel and copper with copper highlights.  The sculpture is then sprayed with a clear acrylic coating which protects the sculpture from rusting and gives it a shiny appearance.

   It is powered by a nine volt rechargeable battery.
