There was no defined egg timer design as the purpose of each one is to see how many different mechanisms I can stuff into a geodesic egg shape. 

   Egg Timer is made of gas-welded sheet steel and soft copper-coated steel welding rod.  Its finish is one of flame oxidized steel and copper with copper highlights.  It is then sprayed with a clear acrylic coating which protects the sculpture from rusting and gives it a shiny appearance.

   This sculpture is an accurate working clock that was originally powered by a small 120VAC, 60Hz clock motor but later models were battery powered which allowed the sculpture to be hung without unsightly power cords.
